3rd Annual Doctors and Derrieres: Thursday May 8

An art auction fundraising event where medical students, dental students, health professionals and doctors from Edmonton’s hospitals take off their white coats to raise money and awareness for international health projects.

Once a year in the space of a month, a group of health workers pose nude for 21 local talented artists. Art pieces in diverse mediums celebrating the human body are then donated by each artist to be auctioned off at the main event. This year there will be more than 50 pieces up for auction. Proceeds will support Change for Children's helath project in El Salvador and IMHIS.

All proceeds from this event go towards international health projects sponsored by Change For Children and IHIMS (International Health Initiatives by Medical Students). This summer, students are traveling to India to develop sexual health workshops for youth and to Kenya to contribute to water filtration systems, among other projects.
