control over basic resources that are essential human needs,
such as water, adequate housing and nutritious alimentation.
The fulfillment of these needs, in a sustainable and adequate
way, is necessary for further community development, providing
people with the stability and security they need to break
cycles of poverty.

BASIC & ALTERNATIVE
EDUCATION
Furthering access to quality education to children, youth
and communities at risk. CFCA supports primary school construction,
implementation of educational and recreational activities
for street kids and youth at risk, and creative education
in human rights, art and leadership.
CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT
& INCOME GENERATION FOR WOMEN
“Educate a woman, educate an entire village”
Increasing levels of economic independence (personal autonomy)
and interdependence (social organization) resulting in an
improved quality of life for women and their families.
CHILD PROTECTION: OUTREACH
ADVOCACY & SUPPORT
Supporting projects that minimize the impacts of inadequate
social programming and education systems on children and
youth. CFCA prioritizes projects that will mitigate the
consequences of poverty on youth, building opportunities
and skills for brighter futures. |
HEALTH
& NUTRITION
Promoting good health and basic nutrition through community
training, service provision and capacity building. CFCA
projects strengthen communities abilities to ensure healthy
populations.
HIV/AIDS PREVENTION
& TREATMENT
Educating communities about STD prevention, training promoters
to ensure community health and supporting treatment programs,
CFCA works to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS in partner communities.
INDIGENOUS PEOPLE’S
CULTURAL & ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION
Promoting cultural survival, territorial defense and environmental
preservation of indigenous people and lands. Protecting
the natural areas of indigenous peoples, building capacity
and skills, and pro moting culturally appropriate development
supports strong and enduring communities for indigenous
populations.
PROMOTING HUMAN RIGHTS,
DEMOCRACY AND GOOD GOVERNANCE
Promoting protection and preservation of human rights at
all levels and enhancing the participation of youth, women
and excluded groups in local and national government thus
fostering true democracy.
SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
Supporting projects that promote sustainable and organic
agricultural practices and providing marketing support for
local farmers. Working towards sustainable agriculture means
working for vibrant, stable and healthy local economies
and dependable livelihoods for families.
