BASIC HUMAN NEEDS
Ensuring that our partner communities have access to and control over basic resources that are essential human needs, such as water, adequate housing and nutritious alimentation. The fulfillment of these needs, in a sustainable and adequate way, is necessary for further community development, providing people with the stability and security they need to break cycles of poverty.

BASIC & ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION
Furthering access to quality education to children, youth and communities at risk. CFCA supports primary school construction, implementation of educational and recreational activities for street kids and youth at risk, and creative education in human rights, art and leadership.

CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT & INCOME GENERATION FOR WOMEN
“Educate a woman, educate an entire village”
Increasing levels of economic independence (personal autonomy) and interdependence (social organization) resulting in an improved quality of life for women and their families.

CHILD PROTECTION: OUTREACH ADVOCACY & SUPPORT
Supporting projects that minimize the impacts of inadequate social programming and education systems on children and youth. CFCA prioritizes projects that will mitigate the consequences of poverty on youth, building opportunities and skills for brighter futures.

Protecting the natural areas of indigenous peoples, building capacity and skills, and pro moting culturally appropriate development supports strong and enduring communities for indigenous populations.

PROMOTING HUMAN RIGHTS, DEMOCRACY AND GOOD GOVERNANCE
Promoting protection and preservation of human rights at all levels and enhancing the participation of youth, women and excluded groups in local and national government thus fostering true democracy.
