What is Fair Trade?

Fair Trade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect, that seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers – especially in the South

To learn more about Fair Trade visit www.fairtradefederation.com or www.ifat.org.

To purchase other fair trade items we recommend you visit Ten Thousand Villages www.tenthousandvillages.ca

or if you live in Edmonton you can visit Earth’s General Store www.earthsgeneralstore.com located on the second floor of 10832 - Whyte Avenue.

Displayed above are just some of the items from our “Gift Shop” that are 100% fair trade. They were all purchased for a fair price from our project partners in the South. In fact, many of the items are produced by the project participants as a way to support their continued activities thus achieving their desired community development. To order any of the shown products simply visit our offices and request a product in person.
